Weekly style round up: Alright everyone, so it’s been a month since the first style round up blog went live and during that time so much has happened. George Floyd was brutally murdered by the police, then we had the weeks of speaking up and standing against racial injustice. The following week was followed by protest and standing up together in solidariry and so much more. During this sad, sad time, I was in shock, angry and upset and I didn’t think my outfits were as important as the injustice around race so I took the time off and stayed in my lounge wear.
This week I made sure to dress up every day. Let’s take a run down of my outfits below:
On Monday I was feeling very fancy with the urge to attend an event and so I decided to wear this gorgeous pink maxi dress in our garden and play fancy guest. You probably think I’m crazy but when you’ve been at home for a long time, you’ve got to find ways to look forward to dressing up.
This dress is from New Look and it’s very soft, silky and perfect for summer weather. I decided to complete this look with white strappy sandals and a bouquet of artificial flowers from Amazon.
If you have a fancy event, wedding to attend or a dinner date, then this is the dress for you.
Tuesday: I wore a beautiful midi Lilac dress from Shein. This dress is the summer trend for 2020, everyone is wearing it and it’s just so flaterring. Everyone has that one dress that completely changes their mood, makes them feel more comfortable or simply beautiful. Well this is that dress for me because it makes me feel comfortable and is perfect with my skin tone.
To complete this look, I paired it up with white trainers from Justfab and a bouquet of pink roses in a bag from Morrisons. This look is one of my absolute favourites and petfect for picnics in an open field.
Wednesday: I was feeling very casual and I was just looking for an excuse to look cute. I decided to wear this front gathered top in blue from Liena. This top is pleated atthe top and falls nicely at the bottom.
I paired it up with light blue denim from H&M and cream sandals from ASOS. This look is perfect for metting up with friends and maybe events depending on the dress code. Here is the look, what do you think?
Thursday: I wanted to be somewhere tropical and it was just sunny and lovely so I wore this orange dress from Shein. This dress is quite fancy and casual at the same time so it can be worn to formal event.
The orange colour is not too bold or washed out but rather a mix of both so it’s almost neutral. I rarely wear the colour orange so for me to love this dress, says alot about the style and colour.
I paired it up with with white sandals and of course oranges to match my outfit. Sometimes I love a good matchy matchy outfit you know.
Friday: On Fridays we wear matching tops and skirts. You can guess where I am going with this… Well you’re right, I wore a co-ord floral top and skirt from Quiz Clothing. This outfit makes you feel like you’re in a tropical land and it’s very cute.
To complete my tropical look, I wore light cream wedges shoes with a light beige bamboo bag. What do you think?
