Mallory Court Hotel: With things the way they are I often find myself pining for a relaxing weekend away but I don’t often have the opportunity to act on it. That was why I was delighted to stay the night at the Mallory Court Hotel and Spa just outside of Warwick. After driving through some stunning English countryside we arrived and our expectations were throughly met and exceed.
The hotel is the perfect getaway destination for relaxation, spa treatments, afternoon tea and country walks. So if this sounds like the perfect place for you then you are in the right place.
Set on a hill with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside the grounds consist of the main house, a set of apartments. The Orchard house is where the spa and our room was located. The room was well appointed, came with a fantastic bath and shower that was sorely need after our drive and a bed that had no difficulty sending us both to sleep. A large set of windows looking out over the fields was the finishing touch to a near perfect room. We stayed in the Superior Deluxe room and it was superior indeed and one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in if do say so myself.
From arrival to departure the staff were nothing but polite and courteous, always happy to help and extremely attentive. My husbands’s peanut allergy was handled professionaly. He felt comfortable the entire visit knowing that it was in great hands.
Where to eat
On the subject of food I can honestly say that of all my dining experiences this one stands out as one of the most luxurious and relaxing. The six course dinner was delicious and came in perfect quantities that kept us ready for the next plate. The wine chosen by our sommelier was exquisite and we left that oak paneled dining room full and content. The hotel has as a main dining room, two private dining and an afternoon tea room so you have plenty of options if you want to plan something special. As with anything else you just have to speak to the staff who will go out of their way to make your stay perfect.
The spa itself provides everything you could want for a relaxing weekend, the indoor and outdoor pools are particularly soothing! A walk around the gardens is also highly recommended, every hedge hides a different scene; a herb garden behind the house, a small fountain in a paved courtyard, a stretch of well kept lawn open to views of the distant horizon. The gardens were where we spent most of our time. I’m looking forward to seeing them again one day soon.
If you are ever in Warwick and are looking for a great place to stay, make sure you check out Mallory Court Hotel and Spa. Not only is the hotel beautiful, it has lots of ameneties for you to enjoy and is only a seven minutes drive away from the Warwick castle if you’d Iike to do a bit of sightseeing.
